Why I Stopped Using Contact Paper (And What I Use Instead)

Let’s be real—vinyl contact paper and I have never gotten along.

I’ve wrestled with bubbles, torn corners, and sticky messes that made me want to throw the whole drawer out. If you’ve been there, you know exactly what I mean.

That’s why I made the switch to peel-and-stick fabric liners—and honestly, I haven’t looked back.

Fabric Just Feels Better

Fabric Just Feels Better

There’s something about a soft, matte finish that just looks *right* in a drawer. No shiny plastic. No tacky texture. Our liners have this beautiful feel—almost like canvas—that makes even a thrifted dresser feel boutique.

Repositionable = Less Stress

One of the biggest reasons I stopped using contact paper? You mess up once, and it’s done.

These liners are repositionable for up to 24 hours. I can shift them until they line up just right—which helps when I (inevitably) measure something wrong or change my mind.

They Can Handle Real Life

Bathroom humidity? Kitchen mess? These hold up.

I’ve used them in high-traffic drawers, under bathroom bins, and in nightstands where hair ties and tea bags somehow multiply. They’re water-resistant, wipeable, and tougher than they look.

They Won't Ruin Furniture

I’ve lined everything from MCM vintage to antique pieces. When I remove the liner, the drawer underneath looks exactly the same. No sticky residue. No peeled paint. Just clean, beautiful surfaces ready for the next refresh.

Want to Try Them?

You can check out all the designs right here. I’ve been adding new patterns I love, and they’re all printed on the same soft, repositionable material I use in my own home and refinishes.

If you’re not sure where to start or have a weirdly shaped drawer (we’ve all been there), feel free to message me. I’m happy to help you figure it out.
